Does Modibodi have PFAS or Nanotechnology?Updated 5 days ago
No. Modibodi does not intentionally use PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in our period underwear or leak-proof garments.
PFAS (including PFOS and PFOA) are chemicals sometimes used in products for water, oil and stain resistance. Instead, Modibodi uses a combination of breathable, moisture-wicking and absorbent fabrics, along with a leak-proof polyurethane layer (not chemically treated) and specialised construction techniques to deliver protection—without relying on PFAS.
All Modibodi products are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, and our fabric suppliers also hold OEKO-TEX certifications. This means our products are tested and verified to meet strict safety standards, including for PFAS.
We also do not use nanotechnology or nanoparticles in our fabrics or treatments, and we maintain strict supplier traceability to ensure product safety and quality.
